Circa: 1960 – 1970’s Size: 70″ X 21″ – / 178 cm X 54 cm / UZBEKISTAN FARGAN VALLEY Silk Cotton Ikat Panel fragment. This is woven by Russian / East German made metal weaving looms. They had to invent such looms so that they can weave wider ikats. You can see photos. They are usually woven 500 feet / 150 meters long in narrow bands. This was probably 3 feet wide. It has traditional jewelry design with little botehs. All colors are in natural color shades.
